Homecoming week

There are 2 activities that I enjoyed during homecoming week. First of all, I saw a huge bonfire at the ground. People broke a car and paint on it prior to making a bonfire. The bonfire was biggest one in my whole life. Next, I watched football game of FHSV. When the game starts, TMP football team was likely to be winner, but they got defeated at last. I was frustrated, because I bet TMP. I lost 2 dollar. Although TMP football team be beaten and I lost 2 dollar, game was exiting and funny.

Homecoming Week

There are 2 activities that I enjoyed during the Homecoming week. The first was we dressed up like warriors in the school. That day, I was dressing up like a SpongeBob. I ware a yellow shirt and a SpongeBob’s mask. But when I putted on the mask that looked more likes a terrorist but not SpongeBob. Someone told me its not warriors, I didn’t think so, either. Actually I just didn’t want ware school uniform. When I came to school, I saw Optimist Prime, spider man and so on, and many heroes that I didn’t know the name. TMP was like a super hero school. That’s really funny. You could see many heroes took the book went in and went out. Many teachers also joined us. It made me felt I was in the movie. I like this activity very much. The next one I liked was bonfire. Before the bonfire before, I saw many wood putted together like a mountain. There’s a fire truck near the bonfire to protect us. Then some one burned the wood. The fire burned slowly at first, so we stood near the bonfire. But 5minutes latter, the fire became stronger and stronger. That was too hot to stood near the bonfire. All of us stay back. But I still could feel the hot. After we sang together, the fire crushed out little by little. We got on the bus and went back to the dorm. I think that was really excited. I want to see it again.

Homecoming week

There are two activities at homecoming week that I like them very much. First of all, it’s the dance party at the Saturday night. We all need wear suit and tie. I became very excited when I woke up at Saturday morning because I always thought about the dance party. The party was really very nice. It looks like much American party that I have saw in some American movies before. I like the pop music in the party because I can dance crazy with anyone. I jump, move and enjoy it. But I am do not like the slow music in the party because I didn’t have girlfriend to dance in slow music. Second, I like the dress up as warriors. I dressed up as a cowboy at that day to go to school. I like that style because I have never dressed up like cowboy before, and I thought I was really cool when I became a cowboy. There were many guys dressed up as other warriors like Transformers, Batman, Spiderman and so on. It’s funny that looked like I was studying in a hero’s school. In conclusion, these two activities made me very excited and happy at the homecoming week. And I really like these two activities.

There are two activities that I enjoyed during homecoming week. First of all, I enjoyed the bon fire. It was at the school yard, and there were many people in there. At first, the fire was not that big, but in short time, it became huge fire. It was not like bon fire, it was like fires on mountains because the flame from the piles of fire wood was higher than 2nd floor. It was scary because I’ve never seen that huge fire closely. Also, it was really hot. Even though I made far distance from the fire, it was still burning hot. I felt like I’m getting sunburn on my face in the night. Therefore, I enjoyed that moment. Second of all, I enjoyed the Float building. There is one of job that I worked really hard. That is painting. There is big coffee cup on the track and I painted the words “World’s Greatest” on the coffee cup. I painted with the other 2 girls and around a big coffee cup, the spase was really small so it was really hard to paint. Also I had to paint straight line around the words so it was hard too. However, everyone who saw that paint, they said “it’s really nice.” “You guys doing really good job.” When I heard that, I was so glad. After every one left, we were still doing that. We were keep working hard. After we finished every thing, I felt so good because I kept work hard and I did good job. In my conclusion, I enjoyed homecoming week a lot, because I experienced many activities that I can’t experience in normal days.

Rugby Match and Tug of War Competition
This photo was taken last Friday rugby match. I look rugby match is the frist time. The United States National Rugby Ball, I think it depends mainly on the strength, speed and teamwork. Every time our school score, we are excited, Some students dressed as anime characters do push-ups, and then ran around the audience
. Despite losing the game that day, but it is cold, But the competition is very exciting. If you have the opportunity to the United States must look at football game.

There are two activities that I enjoyed during homecoming week. First is the homecoming dance because I was so happy and excited that night. Vivian and I went there at about 8:20, and there were already many TMP American students. It had already started, and I started to dance with my date. Chinese students began a dance train that was so great that everyone joined us and enjoy themselves. We also took a lot of photos, so that became a good memory of my TMP life. The second activities which gave me a nice memory were the bonfire. It also made me very excited because the fire looked so great. I can feel the flame and heat. It was very hot when the fire wood was burning because the flame went to 5m high. After we fired the large amount of wood, we started a class competition about the chant that was created at the float building day. I am a senior, and my part is to repeat 2010 again and again with a certain tune, which was very easy to me. After all classes finished their class chants, a teacher announced that senior was the winner. It made me feel very happy. In my conclusion, I enjoyed those tow activities very much.

Homecoming activities
Last week was homecoming week, there are 2 activates that I enjoyed during the homecoming week. The first activity was “Bon fire”, it was helded on Thursday. Before “Ben fire” began, we paied to break the car, it was so exciting. When the sky became dark the “Bon fire” began. The fire fighters lighted the fire. The fire was really big, around fire we felt hot. Because of the fire, the sky had a little bright. In front of the fire, each of class’s students took pictures and sang their class’s songs stood on a big car. The second big activity was “Homcoming dance party”. The girls had worn the dresses to the party and the boys had worn the man’s suits. They danced, drank, and took pictures on the party. When the slow songs started, most of the students danced with their partners. And some of singles made a circular around them. During this party, people were happy and excited. To summarize, “Ben fire” and “Homecoming dance party” had much fun and were popular during the last homecoming week.

Activities

There are two activities that I enjoyed during homecoming week. First of all, we had bonfire activity. This activity was so nice. Bonfire gave us a spectacle and opportunity to become friendly with other freshmen American students because we sang a chat together. Second, we had a football game. We matched against LAMED team. I felt excited because this is homecoming game. I believe my team would win this game. We cheered up our team for example, I followed songs with cheerleaders, and when football players appeared and torn a paper, I went inside a field and clapped hands for them. Finally we lost this game but we didn’t regret this game. That day it’s nice game.

Activities
There are 2 activities that I enjoyed. First of all, at last Thursday we had a parade so we needed to go to school in the afternoon. When we went to the school we saw many cars and some cars have some buildings were made by float building, and few minutes we began to parade. At the street. There were many people on the two sides, and we through the sweets for the children.we through many streets wave to others all the time, and I thought the parade was very interesting. Second, I joined the Bon fire. At the beginning, we firest had a activity was knocking the car if we wanted to knock we needed to spent one dollar, and many people tried it. For example, Diao, he spent one dollar and took the hammer knock, then the car a place go inside. After this activity we began the fired the wood and the fire was amazing. In front of the fire had a wagon and every grade students needed to stood there song. Finally the winner was fresh men. These two activities I think are very interesting ,and I like it very much.

My weekend
I went to the State Fair this weekend. Last weekend, I woke up at 7:30 am, I was made to go to the State Fair. We took the bus and left Hays about 9:10 am. On the way I slept and spent 3hours to get there. When I saw the park in the bus I found have many people come to the park on weekend. I went to the inside of the park. The smell was so bad because there were many animals. We could spend the hours walking on the road and you can see another animal in the park because the park was like a zoo. In this park, they had many food to eat, every food store had a long line. I ate too much, and I walked around the park. I didn’t play . The time went by slow, andI was so boring. I walked for about 5 hours in the park. We went back at 5:00 pm. I was really tired last weekend.

Korean Food

Actually I didn't like Korean food such as Kimchi, Kimchi swew, and Sam-Gyub-Sal, but since I’ve come to USA, I have missed all Korean foods. Foods in USA are too oily, sweet, and salty. Actually even there are foods which I can’t eat. Other Korean people also miss the Korean foods, so we often buy Korean styled noodle to feel our country. Korean food is moderately sweet, salty and spicy to me. When I ate Sam-Gyub-Sal and Kimchi, I felt so happy.

My room
I have a small but nice room. The room has a big bed and a nice light. My room also has a Locker room, and I can change my clothes that I want in my locker room. The room looks a litter dirty because I'm a lazy boy, I don't want to clean my room and I think my mum will clean it. However I think I need to clean it because I became a junior student. My room also doesn't have TV. So, it is bad that I need to watch the film in the living room. My room also has a small desk that can let me do homework at here. I love my room.

Make kimchi
This is a picture when I was in Korea, and we made kimchi . I put the sauce coated on the layer of cabbage. Then, I rolled up the Chinese cabbage and also coated with more sauce. After that, put into the refrigerator. When we were done at making, it’s similar as what we often saw on the television. I think this was very simple, but they used different materials than what I thought. So, taste was not same as what I ate before. Nowadays, we can storage in the refrigerator and eat whenever we want to eat.

My hometown

My hometown is a very good beautiful place. It is one of the 50 best places in the world to live. My home town is near by the sea, so we can swim in our free time. We can just stay on the beach, and you can feel sunshine is on your skin. The seafood is pretty good because it is very delicious and fresh. Those fishermen who live in my hometown for their whole life knew how to cook fish, and they can make it taste good. One old fisherman told me that different fishes need different ways to cook, so they can make them tastes better. My hometown is famous for apples too. It is called Hongfushi. Those apples are the best apples of China. They are very sweet and juicy. All the people who like to eat apples must like those apples in my hometown. It is a really good place, and I love my hometown.

This weekend

In this weekend I did my ESL homework such as grammar exercise, writing journal entries, and uploading my video on Youtube. After I finished my homework, I needed some rest, so I watched some love drama. For example I had much time later, so I went to WLAMART and bought a hrd drive, and some snacks. Finally, when I came back to the dorm, I played basketball one on one with Leonard. Later, I won the game and the score was eleven to seven.

Kansas State Fair

This weekend, we went to Kansas State Fair. We arrived there at 11:45 Pm. I was really hungry at that time. I bought two pieces of pizza; these are too big to eat up. After having a little rest, we went to play equipment. First one was the most exciting. It put me in the air, then down very fast, and rose up again. After many times of up and down, I got out of this machine. I felt the ground was moving. Then we played many others without had a rest. I begun to have a dizzy and feel like vomiting. I can’t stand straight and felt the blood was going to my brain. After we played with all, we felt very excited. I sat on the chair for 30minutes. Then we just walked around State Fair until 5:00Pm. We got on the bus and went back to the dorm. It will be a interesting place if it is your first time to go there.

States fair

We went to the States fair on Saturday. It’s a very long bus trip. We went to there by bus and it took us more than 3 hours. It’s a big place and many people were there. All parents took their children to there to play. There are many sheep, horses and cows because many people went there to buy some domestic animals. We can see many cowboys there too. There’re many game machines and roller costers that we can play, but a lot of them are for kids. We just played some of them, and it’s really exciting. I enjoyed them. This trip made me very tired and poor because all games and roller costers us cost a lot of money.

Serving handicapped people

I served handicapped people with my friends. There were a lot of handicapped people. We helped them attend special party, and I took care of a child. He was 10 years old, and looking like a normal person. Whenever he wanted to eat pizza and to drink coke, he told me that. I thought he was clever. I realized that handicapped people are not stupid. They can explain their thought well. Also they have pure heart. They didn’t lie and they were kind. When I become an adult, I will serve handicapped people frequently.

My little brother in Hawaii

I took that picture in Hawaii. He is my lovely little brother. Every time when my family goes to Hawaii, my little brother is so exciting. I like to see when he is enjoying or excited. When we went to the beach, he was playing with the sand. He said “Mimi! I will make big castle of sand!” Then, he kept making for long time. He was really enjoying to make that. So, I was really happy to see him. However, Hawaiian sunshine is really strong. Therefore, he got too much sunburn on his back. After we went back hotel, I put aloe cream on his back because it was really red like an apple and looked very hurt and sometimes he was crying because it's really hurt. he looked really poor. Next day, it became black. Later on, his skin came out from his back. However, since then, he learned that if he get too much sunburn, it would really not be good for his skin. So, i think it was good experience in Hawaii for my little brother.

Weekend
I was very happy at the weekend because I has already waited weekend four days. on the Friday afternoon, I went to play the basketball that is my first time play since when I arrived here. We went to the HRC and played for 3on3. I just played an hour and then I hurt my right foot. I felt a litter sad and I couldn't go to play on Saturday again. On Saturday I played computer games all day and I felt very hungry because I forgot to eat all day. When I went out the door, I saw Raphy, and he was very serious looking at me and said god! you didn't go? Then we went to eat the dinner together. On Sunday I still played the games all day, but I ate the lunch. This was my weekend.

How to write journal

Using examples and opinions are easy ways to get good grades for your journal. I have an average of 98 for my ESL Writing 2 class because I always write good examples and opinions in my journals. For example, according to the sentence, “I have madness.” I would write this sentence like “I have much madness, for example, I have to double check my room when I left my room, even I know I did not forget anything.” this will make the sentence more detailed, and example an makes my journal more clear for teacher. Also opinions are very important to the journals. For example, I want to change my madness quickly because I feel so bad. This opinion tells teacher my feelings. For me examples and opinions are the best part of the journal. I hope every student in ESL Writing 2 can write very good examples and opinions.

One night in Chicago

When we came to USA, we changed our plane in Chicago. We arrived there at 8th AUG. But our next flight would depart at the next day, so we had to stay in Chicago for one night. Chicago air-port was very big. When we arrived, we couldn’t find Check-In. We walked around for an hour, but still didn’t know where was we could check in. Then we asked the police. Because of our pool English, we didn’t know what he was talking about. Finally we realized this air-port had five parts, so we used light rail to arrived our Check-In. At that time, we still had almost 10 hours. We couldn’t find a place to live, and the air-port was too cold to sleep. We only could play computer or went out for a while because we had to took care of our baggage. At 1:00 Am, I fell asleep, but I woke up after 30 minutes. Then I bought some latte to stay awake, and we rode light rail many times. Finally, time was up, we could get on the plane.

My face

I took these pictures half a year ago. I used eyebrow pencil to draw on my face by myself. I became a middle-aged man in the first picture. However I still looked like a student in that picture. Chad and I became very weird in the second and third pictures. At that time, the “X-Men Origins – Wolverine” was show on the film. My style was like wolverine; I drew the fake mustache like wolverine on my face and I used the Hair gel to make my hair straight. I thought I looked like wolverine. Chad looked like a special spider man in the third picture. I drew it for him and he liked his face at that time. The last picture was very awful. Because I wanted to scare people when I walked in the street. That day was very exciting because when I saw the reaction that people saw me in the street, I always wanted to laugh. They all saw me again and again, talked about me, and looked very surprise. These pictures were all about my face. I have showed off them many times to my friends before. Now I show you these funny pictures to you.

Playing game in conversation class

We played quiz game last Friday. Before the quiz game started, I felt so excited because Mr. Nakagawa said, “If you win this game, you don’t have any homework”. So I decided to win this game. This quiz game use only body language. My partner was MaxWell. We tried to solve the questions, but we couldn’t understand. However, the other teams solved the question very well. I couldn’t believe it because when someone started to do body language, the other teams would solve the questions in only ten seconds. In the end, we got only one point. So, we had to do homework.

My first event at TMP

My first event at TMP was a dance party. We had a nice time during this event because before a dance, we had an auction. This auction was to buy people. Many people misunderstood this auction. In this auction if you bought someone, then you can go on a date. I think that this event is so good because it gives students a chance to go on a date with someone. After the auction we had a dance at the school. The highlight of the night was the dance. I also stayed for the dance. At the dance I felt like inside of a club because of the music. So, I really enjoyed this event.

Hi, my name is Yangyang. The place in the picture is Jeju in South Korea. The air over there was very fresh and clean. There were many tourists who are from all over the world . Sometimes, the wind was very heavy, but it was very comfortable. When I climbed up the hill, the road was very steep. However, after I arrived at the top of the hill , the scenery was amazing. If you wanted to take a vacation, Jeju will be your best choice because it's really beautiful.

I will introduce about one of my good memory in Washington D.C. I took this picture in “Washington D.C.” Before I came to Kansas, I was in there to study English. However, I went there with my many friends who are going to American school like me. Therefor it was so fun. Also, we did sightseeing a lot. For example, I went to the Capitol. Around the Capitol, there is huge park, and I took this picture in there. In Washington D.C. there is many squirrels. I love them so much, so I took this picture with one of that squirrel. That time, all of my friends were trying to give muffin to that squirrel, but he was so scared of them and hided in back of the tree. However, when I try to give muffin to that squirrel, he came to me. I was so happy. Then, I gave to him a muffin from my hand. The guide said, it’s really impossible to give something from hand to the wild squirrel. It was really amazing and everyone was taking that picture. I had a great time in Washington D.C.

A good memory

This photo was taken by my friend when we were eating together. I was in Hangzhou that time. Hangzhou is a beautiful city, and it is famous for the west lake, filled with clear water and beautiful lotus flowers in summer. I was in a beautiful tea bar, listening to the flowing piano songs in the bar and enjoying the beautiful sceneries out of the window. This was a really pretty place. The lake out of the window cheered me up, and I was enjoying the Longjing tea, a special product of this city. It tasted very good. That was a really good, quiet, relaxing afternoon for me. I like this feeling, so I have good memory in this picture for remember.

My First challenge to do scuba diving

It was challenging to do scuba diving. I was so scary because I don’t have experience about scuba diving. There were 12 people. Six people were challenger and the others were pro. In the ocean, there were so many shellfishes, fishes, starfishes and coral reef. All of things in the ocean were pretty beautiful and elegant. If I can, I want go there one more time.
